It’s hard to believe that the first Harry Potter film hit theaters eleven years ago. It's even harder to believe that each addition to the on-screen series would be a strong entry into the Potter universe. That rings particularly true for the two-part finale, The Deathly Hallows, directed by Potter veteran David Yates. The culmination of Harry’s battle with Voldemort is big, emotional, exciting – and altogether satisfying.
2011 will be known to sci-fi, fantasy, and Potter fans as the year that one of the greatest and most ambitious book-to-film adaptations went out with fireworks.
