The above is a story of perfect whimsy; anyone that has been transported by their love of books knows the feeling of freedom an amazing written tale can impart. The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore paints that picture with care; it is no surprise that writer/director William Joyce was rewarded with an Oscar nomination for this beautiful movie.
His animated short is evocative of the very best Pixar has to offer, which is about as high a level of praise I could give any film of this genre.
